1. What is Perms Connect?
Perms Connect is a free to use website that allows interested Agencies who have Candidates but no suitable job for them to connect with other Agencies who have jobs but no suitable Candidates to communicate in a free, confidential and safe environment. It allows them to do business with others they have never met but with the sound knowledge that when a placement is paid for by a Client they can be sure of getting their money. Splits are negotiated by the Agencies on the website.
It can also be used for free by multi-site Agencies for their own network (they invoice and credit control) with the website just allowing them to connect their branch information - for free. Such agencies can also use the website to seek matches outside of their own network.
2. How does it work?
It is very simple. It's a three way split. Agencies place Job or Candidate details on the site. The intelligence in the site searches for matches to connect and alerts the Agencies. They negotiate the split fee (bearing in mind that in a successful outcome Perms Connect will take 10% of the fee split element payable to the agency with the Candidate) and the site will record that agreement. When an Engagement takes place, the agency with the job is invoiced for the fee split as agreed (and recorded on the website) and Perms Connect carries out the credit control. When payment is received from the agency with the job, payment is sent to the agency that supplied the Candidate in the fee split proportions agreed, with 10% of that sum sticking with Perms Connect as its split.
3. Can anyone use Perms Connect??
No. The free of charge use of permsconnect.com is only available to Employment Agencies.
4. How much does it cost to use Perms Connect?
There is no cost to Agencies.
5. How does Perms Connect make money?
Perms Connect takes 10% from the fee split paid by the job agency. It's as simple as that.
6. How does Perms Connect match jobs to candidates?
Perms Connect uses a series of key words and tags to ensure what we believe is the best matching facility in the recruitment industry.
7. Can I view all the jobs on Perms Connect?
Yes. You can view all the jobs that you have put on to the website and those that match Candidates that you have put onto the website. You can view the latest jobs and candidates added as well as carrying out a full search. New jobs will also be advertised using social media websites such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and other specialist websites.
8. If I upload candidates how do I get my split-fee?
When a candidate you have uploaded is matched by a job, you will be advised by email. It is then for you to use the website to negotiate a split fee with the Job Agency that posted that job and record the outcome on the site. The Job Agency will notify the Website when an Engagement has taken place and at that time, an invoice will be automatically sent to the Job Agency for payment within 30 days of the invoice date. When the Job Agency pays, Perms Connect will send 90% of the agreed split fee sum to you by BACS, keeping the 10% balance as its split.
9. Why should I trust Perms Connect?
Perms Connect is majority owned by the directors of Cash Simply - a brand trusted by thousands of Temps and hundreds of Temp Agencies for their weekly payroll, payments and credit control. 10. Are many recruiters doing split-fees?
Our research has not established how many Recruitment Agencies split fees with others. However, it has shown two things. Firstly that a whopping 78% of Agencies would like to do split fees. Secondly, that there were good reasons for not doing so and they were two fold. Firstly that they did not have access to a free website to help them. Secondly that Candidate Agencies could not always trust Client Agencies to pass on their split of the fee.
11. So, Perms Connect overcomes all the objections to using split fees?
We certainly hope so. A free to use intelligent website and a trustworthy third party "honest broker" to ensure that money is paid out as agreed does the job we think. Certainly all our research suggests that Perms Connect provides all the ingredients to provide efficient and safe split fee transactions.
